Field experiments during 1993-94 and 1994-95 were dominated by natural infestation of wild oat. Isoproturon applied alone @ 750 g ha-1 did not control wild oat, while diclofopmethyl applied alone @ 1000 g ha-1 was not effective against lambsquarter. Tank mixtures of herbicides were less effective than sequential treatments of broad-leaved herbicides with diclofopmethyl in reducing the population and dry weight of grassy and broad-leaved weeds.
