In an experiment, 20 Landrace x Yorkshire crossbred pigs with a liveweight of 20.0 kg were randomly allocated to 4 dietary treatments with 5 replicates each. Pigs in Treatment 1 (control) were fed the basal diet containing salinomycin 50 mg/kg from the growing period (20-50 and 50-70 kg) through to the finishing period (70-100 kg).
