Effect of different forms of feeding on air pollution in piggery pens

Effect of different forms of feeding on air pollution in piggery pens

Indian Veterinary Journal 80(3): 284-286

The following study was carried out in a piggery unit at the Livestock Research Station, Kattupakkam, for a period of 5 months. 24 Large White Yorkshire piglets were selected at 2 months of age and randomly divided into 3 groups consisting of 8 animals each, and were subjected to dry mash, wet mash and pellet feeding. Dust concentration was significantly lower in the wet mash pen, followed by the pellet pen, and dry mash pen.
