Studies were carried out on the epidemiological factors in relation to disease development of Turcicum leaf blight (Exserohilum turcicum and yield of maize Lakshmi at the field of the Tirhut College of Agriculture, Dholi, North Bihar, India, during 1991-92 and 1992-93. The following intercropping treatments were planted: maize + sorghum for fodder, maize + wheat, maize + potato (early variety), maize + potato (late variety), maize rai and maize alone.
