Irradiation is a potential alternative to chemicals for insect control in stored products. The effect of different irradiation viz., infrared, ultraviolet, x-ray, and gamma rays on O. surinamensis reproductive potential was studied using O. surinamensis individuals found infesting stored wheat flour.
