Effect of different levels of nitrogen on quality characters of pomegranate fruit cv. Jalore seedless

Effect of different levels of nitrogen on quality characters of pomegranate fruit cv. Jalore seedless

Scientific Horticulture 8: 35-39

A study was conducted in 1994 in Rajasthan, India, to determine the effect of various nitrogen rates (0, 350, 500, 750 g/plant) on the quality characters of pomegranate fruit. Fruit weight (g), percent juice and percent seed and percent rind on a fruit weight basis increased significantly with N at 500 g/plant. The maximum 54.5 and 86.6% juice was obtained on fruit and aril weight basis, respectively, with the application of 500 g N/plant.
