Effect of different levels of nitrogen on the physico-chemical characteristics of pond productivity

A study was conducted using 6 earthen ponds in Faisalabad, Pakistan to determine the seasonal variation of the physicochemical characteristics of pond productivity through application of different levels of nitrogen. Each of the ponds contain three fishes, viz., Labeo rohita, Catla catla and Cirrhinus mrigala, and for each pond, a different level of nitrophos was applied (i.e., 0.05, 0.10, 0.15, 0.20, 0.25, and 0.30 mg N/100 g fish).
