Effect of different levels of nitrogen on yield and quality of pineapple variety Queen Victoria

The relationship between level of nitrogen fertiliser, and the yield and quality of pineapple fruits (cv. Queen Victoria) was studied. The statistical design was a simple randomised block of seven treatments with four replicates. Prior to artificial flower induction, seven different rates of a nitrogen fertiliser (urea at 0, 140, 280, 420, 560, 700, 840 kg N ha-1) were applied in seven equal split doses.
