A field experiment was conducted during the rainy season of 1994 and 1995, in New Delhi, India to study the response of maize to different levels of P (0, 30, 60 and 90 kg P2O5/ha) and zinc (15 and 30 kg ZnSO4/ha), with and without irrigation. Application of 90 kg P2O5/ha resulted in significantly more grain and straw yields, nutrients uptake and protein yield, compared with 60, 30 and 0 P2O5/ha.
