Effect of different levels of spacing on growth and yield of onion (Allium cepa L)

An experiment was conducted in a field in Uttar Pradesh, India, during 1992-93 and 1993-94 to determine the effect of different spacing densities (20x10, 20x15 and 20x20 cm) on onion Pusa Red growth and yield. The highest bulb yields (279.72 and 273.43 q/ha) were obtained with 20x20 cm spacing.
