The effects of different mulches (black polyethylene, transparent polyethylene, silver black polyethylene, pea straw and no mulch) on the productivity of tomato hybrid Naveen 2000 were investigated at Solan, Himachal Pradesh, India. Fruit yield was highest with silver black polyethylene mulch (76.42 t/ha), followed by black polyethylene mulch (73.51 t/ha). The highest N uptake was recorded with silver black polyethylene mulch (90.38 kg/ha), followed by black polyethylene mulch (89.82 kg/ha).
