Effect of different nitrogen forms and application of ABA and 6-BA on growth, nutrient uptake and their distribution in tobacco plants

Tobacco seedlings (79-day-old) were transplanted into pots and treated after 21 days. Treatments were NO3-, NO3- + ABA NH4+, and NH4+ + 6-BA The concentration of total N in all treatments was 15 mmol/litre. Compared with nitrate treatment, ammonium treatment decreased growth and reduced plant transpiration. Several of the stoma was closed under ammonium treatment.
