The effects of different under-mulch-drip irrigation on the diurnal changes and chlorophyll fluorescence parameters of cotton cultivars Xinluzao6 and Xinluzao8 were investigated in a field experiment in Xinjiang, China, in 2000-02. The treatments were: proper drip irrigation (375 m3/ha); and limited drip irrigation. Results indicated that limited irrigation, which supplies 2/3 of 375 m3/ha caused water deficit in the field.
