Effect of different pastures on CLA content in milk and sheep cheese

Forty Sarda ewes were divided into two groups, where the first group was grazed on Lolium rigidum (L)+ Medicago polymorpha (M) pasture (LM) and the other was grazed on L. rigidum + M. polymorpha + Chrysanthemum coronarium (C) pasture (LMC). No supplements were given. The chemical composition of the forage species, sheep liveweight, body condition score (BCS), milk yield, milk and cheese composition were measured.
