Effect of different plant population densities of groundnut on NPK nutrient uptake and yield

A field experiment conducted on Alfisol at Rajendranagar during kharif 1990 indicated that N, P and K uptake were found to be increased by adopting a population of 5 lakh plants/ha of groundnut (20x10 cm spacing) as compared to 2.5 lakh plants/ha. The pod yields of groundnut also increased by 9.19 q/ha with a plant population density of 5 lakh plants/ha as compared to the plant population density of 2.5 lakh plants/ha.
