Four planting densities (2222, 1667, 1111 and 816 plants/ha) were assessed in trials with Robusta coffee established in July 1997 on 0.24 ha in Severiana, municipality of Buey Arriba, Cuba. Yields in the year 2000 were significantly higher at the highest planting density (4.27 t berries/ha) than at the other densities (1.15-1.86 t/ha).
