Effect of different pretreatments on rooting of air layers in guava cv. Sardar

A study was conducted in Karnataka, India to determine the effect of advanced girdling, growth regulators and etiolation on the rooting of air layers in guava Sardar. Treatments comprised: control; 15 days advance girdling + 5000 ppm IBA; 30 days advance girdling + IBA; 15 days advance girdling + etiolation + IBA; 30 days advance girdling + etiolation + IBA; and only 15 days advance etiolation + IBA.
