Effect of different protein and energy levels on growth of young giant gourami (Osphronemus goramy Lacepede)

Giant gourami (Osphronemus goramy) were fed diets containing 3 different levels of protein (30, 35 and 40%) and 3 different levels of energy (275, 300 and 325 kcal DE/100 g feed) until satiation twice daily for 8 weeks. The results showed that there is no interaction between protein and energy level on the growth of fish (p>0.05). Protein level had more effect on growth than energy level.
