Effect of different sources of male sterility-inducing cytoplasm on the agronomic performance of winter rye (Secale cereale L.) hybrids

Effect of different sources of male sterility-inducing cytoplasm on the agronomic performance of winter rye (Secale cereale L.) hybrids

Biuletyn Instytutu Hodowli i Aklimatyzacji Roslin (220): 179-189

The effects of different sources of cytoplasmic male sterility on the agronomic performance of rye hybrids were investigated in field trials. Three 3-way hybrids were compared, each produced using four sources of male sterility-inducing cytoplasm: cms-P, cms-R, cms-S and cms-C. A two-factor split-plot field experiment was conducted in 6 environments (3 years, 2 locations).
