Effect of different storage condition and packing materials on the shelf life of five cauliflower cultivars

Five cauliflower cultivars (PSB-1, PSBK-1, KT-1, KT-25 and Snow Ball-16) were evaluated for shelf life under different storage conditions (room temperature and zero-energy chamber) and using different packaging materials (gunny or polyethylene bags). Physiological loss in weight (PLW) increased with increasing storage duration in all treatments. Maximum PLW (14.9%) was observed in PSB-1 after 6 days of storage, while minimum (7.3%) was in KT-1 after 6 days of storage.
