Effect of different thawing procedures on the quality of bull semen

The objective of the study is to evaluate the effect of different thawing procedures on plasma membrane integrity and other semen characteristics of straw frozen bull spermatozoa. Fast (70 degrees C for 5 seconds), medium (50 degrees C for 15 seconds) and slow (37 degrees C for 30 seconds) thawing procedures were used. Thawing protocol affected all sperm characteristics (P<0.05) except Hypo-Osmotic Swelling Test (HOST).
