Effect of different vegetable proteins on the utilization of broken rice in broiler production

Effect of different vegetable proteins on the utilization of broken rice in broiler production

Indian Journal of Poultry Science 34(2): 266-269

A feeding experiment was conducted on broiler chicks (n=160) for a period of 35 days to evaluate the feeding value of broken rice with different proteins. Three sources of protein (groundnut cake, soyaflakes and a combination of both) at 3 levels of broken rice (15, 30 and 45%) were fed to the birds. The control diet contained maize as the major energy source. Significant differences (P<0.05) in feed consumption and feed to gain ratio were recorded between the control and the test groups.
