Effect of distillery effluent irrigation on yield and quality of wheat grown on sandy loam in northern transitional zone of Karnataka

Effect of distillery effluent irrigation on yield and quality of wheat grown on sandy loam in northern transitional zone of Karnataka

Karnataka Journal of Agricultural Sciences 16(3): 373-378

A field study was carried out during 1999-2000 and 2000-01 in Dhardwad, Karnataka, India, to investigate the effect of liquid distillery effluent irrigation on yield and quality of wheat DWR-162. The treatments involved 6 dilution levels, i.e. 1:5, 1:10, 1:25 and 1:50 (liquid effluent:good water), only undiluted effluent and only good water irrigation. Grain yield was significantly affected by dilution levels.
