Effect of doses of chemical fertilizers on powdery mildew intensity and yield of mustard

In experiments conducted during 1998/99 and 1999/2000, at Khargone, Madhya Pradesh, India, the maximum average yield of mustard Varuna (20.48 q/ha) was obtained with 150% of the recommended NPK dose (60:30:20 kg/ha). This yield was significantly at par with that obtained from the recommended NPK (19.95 kg/ha) but significantly higher than 50% of the recommended NPK and without chemical fertilizers. Net profit was highest (Rs. 22 062/ha) with 150% NPK.
