Effect of drilling noise and vibration on the growth of Ctenopharyngodon idella by cut-fin marking method

The effect of drilling noise and vibration on the growth of Ctenopharyngodon idella was studied by the cut-fin marking method on petroleum exploration site in the Liaohe Oil Field of China in 1999. The results showed that the effect of this pollution on Ctenopharyngodon idella growth was obvious. The critical equivalent noise level and vibration level was about 84.4dB and 90.2dB, and the affecting radius was 8.5m. Some ecological factors could influence the polluting effect.
