Effect of drip, microjets and basin irrigation method on growth, soil and leaf nutrient change in acid lime

A field experiment was conducted in an Inceptisol acid lime (Citrus aurantifolia) block in Nagpur (Maharashtra, India) during 1995-98 to evaluate the comparative efficiency of microirrigation systems (dripper 8 litre h-1, microjet 3000 and microjet 1800) versus basin method of irrigation. The highest increase in plant height, stock girth and canopy volume was recorded in microjet 3000, followed by dripper and microjet 1800 irrigation system and basin irrigation.
