Effect of drought stress on activity of cell defense enzymes and lipid peroxidation in leaves of Betula platyphylla seedlings

Leaves of Betula pendula seedlings were analysed to investigate the effects of drought stress on the activity of cell defence enzymes and lipid peroxidation. The active oxygen content, malondialdehyde content and electrolyte leakage in the leaves of B. pendula seedlings increased under soil drought stress. The activity of cell defence enzymes changed significantly when drought stress was increased.
