Effect of drugs on liver specific enzymes in dogs

Effect of drugs on liver specific enzymes in dogs

Indian Journal of Veterinary Medicine 23(1): 48-50

Changes in liver specific enzyme activities caused by some commonly used drugs in canine practice, were observed. 33 dogs that were treated either with phenobarbital, prednisolone, ranitidine, ketoconazole, ivermectin or vincristine, were studied. Prolonged administration of prednisolone caused increase in liver enzymes up to 21 days.
