Effect of drying and formulation of conidia on virulence of the entomofungal pathogen Nomuraea rileyi (F) Samson

The effect of drying N. rileyi conidia on the infectivity, formulation and field performance of the oil-in-water emulsion spray was investigated. Drying N. rileyi conidia along with the solid substrate in an air stream gave a virulent product that induced high mortality of Spodoptera litura larvae. Drying over silica gel or calcium chloride resulted in loss of efficacy.
