The objective of the study was to determine the effect of varied intakes of digestible energy (DE) and apparent ileal digestible (ID) lysine on the growing and fattening performance of pigs, on protein and fat deposition, and on protein and energy utilization. An individual model fattening trial was carried out with a total of 70 KAHYB pigs (50% barrows and 50% gilts). Initial liveweight was 30+or-2 kg.
