Effect of enriched organic manure and planting density on tuberlets yield from seedlings of true potato seed progenies

A field experiment was conducted in West Bengal, India in the winter season of 1997-98 to investigate the effect of true potato seed (TPS) genotypes HPS-11/67 and HPS-7/67, organic manure (sujra), ant N:P:K at 60:20:28 kg/ha; and 3 planting densities (1, 0.67 and 0.5 million/ha) on the TPS tuber yield. HP-7/67 had higher yield (1701.95 g/m2) than HPS-11/67 (1566.67 g/m2). An increase in the population density up to 1 million/ha increased the yield (1913.75 g/m2).
