Effect of environmental temperature on ovarian follicular dynamics in buffalo cows



Indian Veterinary Journal 80(7): 700-701



A total of 192 pairs of ovaries were collected for a period of 1 year (July 1988 to June 1989) from buffalo cows (India). Total number of follicles per ovary was maximum during the month of November and was least during the month of May. It was almost constant during the months of October to January. After January, there was a steady decline in the mean number of follicles per ovary upto the month of May.
