Effect of ethylene diamine tetra acetic acid (EDTA) plus tris adjuvant to streptopenicillin in the treatment of clinical endometritis in cows

Effect of ethylene diamine tetra acetic acid (EDTA) plus tris adjuvant to streptopenicillin in the treatment of clinical endometritis in cows

Indian Journal of Animal Sciences 73(3): 231-234

Crossbred cows (24) with clinical endometritis at oestrus were equally divided into 3 groups, comprised of 8 cows each. They were treated with single intrauterine infusion of 50 ml of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA)-tris with 2.5 g of streptopenicillin, 2.5 g of streptopenicillin alone and 50 ml of normal saline (control). Endometrial biopsy was taken before treatment and during subsequent oestrus.
