Effect of etofenprox (Trebon) on phosphatases activity of a freshwater fish, Oreochromis mossambicus (Peters)

Effect of etofenprox (Trebon) on phosphatases activity of a freshwater fish, Oreochromis mossambicus (Peters)

Journal of Experimental Zoology, India 2(2): 159-163

The effects of sublethal concentrations of etofenprox on acid and alkaline phosphatases in the liver and kidneys were studied with Oreochromis mossambicus. Fish were exposed to 0.174 and 0.58 p.p.m. etofenprox for 7, 14, 21 and 28 days. A significant difference was found between teh liver and kidney enzymes of treated and untreated fish, with the greatest inhibition being observed after 28 days.
