Effect of exercise on carcass traits and blood components of growing, finishing pigs

This study was conducted to determine the influence of exercise on the carcass quality of 18 Large White Yorkshire weaned piglets. The piglets at weaning were divided into 2 groups and housed in pens with concrete floors. One group of weaners were confined in the pen while the other group was allowed to exercise daily for 2 h in the open paddock by running or walking 5 days/week.
