Effect of expanded leaf/bunch ratio on yield and fruit quality of Zaghloul dates under Aswan conditions

Effect of expanded leaf/bunch ratio on yield and fruit quality of Zaghloul dates under Aswan conditions

Assiut Journal of Agricultural Sciences 34(2): 123-137

The effects of the number of expanded leaves per bunch (6:1 or 8:1) on the yield and fruit quality of ten-year-old date (cv. Zaghloul) trees were studied during 1996 and 1997 at Ombo district, Aswan governorate, Egypt. The leaf/bunch ratios were obtained by the removal of early, late or small bunches, and excess old leaves after fruit set.
