A field trial was conducted to work out the effect of timing of first irrigation and subsequent irrigation (s) under varying degrees of soil tillage at Research Farm, Department of Agronomy, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana during rabi 1994-95. The results revealed that varying degrees of tillage such as zero, reduced and conventional tillage system had no significant effect on grain yield.
