The effect of fish oil supplementation in the form of Max EPA capsules was examined in 70 cardiovascular disease patients (55 men and 15 women; aged 35-74 years) with hyperlipaemia from Kugans Hospital, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India Max EPA capsules contain 1.8 g eicosapentaenoic acid and 1.2 g docosahexaenoic acid. 15 cardiovascular disease patients undergoing allopathic treatment were selected as controls.
