Effect of foliar application of different sources and levels of nitrogen on growth and yield of tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum)

Greenhouse experiments were conducted to study the response of tomato Sakata F1 178 to various sources and levels of N. In experiment 1, plants were sprayed with urea (46% N), ammonium nitrate (35% N), or potassium nitrate (14% N) five times every 15 days starting from the third week after transplanting. In experiment 2, plants under similar conditions were sprayed with 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, or 0.8% urea.
