Proceedings of the 2002 Conference of the Australian Society of Sugar Cane Technologists held at Cairns, Queensland, Australia, 29 April 2 May 2002: 135-144
2002
Recent research in the Australian sugar industry has indicated that substantial yield increases can be achieved through improving soil health (alleviating physical, chemical and biological constraints in the farming system) and by changing plant population (increasing plant densities and narrowing row spacing). The research reported here was conducted to investigate the potential for combining these effects to further lift potential productivity.
