The effects of an herbal feed supplement (Magacal) containing Cissus quadrangula, Terminalia arjuna and Zingiber officinale on the performance of laying hens (n=192) were evaluated. Magacal was supplemented at 0.5 and 0.7 g/kg ration on 15 or 30% calcium and phosphorus deficient diets. The control group had 90.0% egg production. The egg production was significantly (P<0.05) reduced when the ration was 30% calcium and phosphorus deficient (T6), as compared to the control.
