This study was conducted to determine the effect of immunization against somatostatin on body growth and feed efficiency in broilers. 48 broilers were randomly selected and divided into 3 groups: group I - control (injected with 0.9% saline); group II - injected with human serum alpha globulin (hS alpha g), and group III - injected with SRIF-hS alpha g conjugate. The body weights of immunized and control birds were 2280.63+or-10.75 and 2080.63+or-11.64 g, respectively at 8 weeks of age.
