Effect of lapachol on conidial germination of Alternaria tenuissima (Kunze ex Pers.) Wiltshire, inciting blight of pigeon pea

About 200-300 conidia of A. tenuissima causing blight in pigeon pea were treated with 100, 500, 1000, 1500 or 2000 ppm of lapachol isolated from Tectona grandis, to determine the effects of the compound on the conidial germination of the pathogen in vitro. Alongside this, the fourth nodal leaves of 60-day-old pigeon pea Bahar were treated with the same concentrations of lapachol.
