A laboratory experiment was conducted to study the effect of sesame (Sesamum indicum) leaf extract on the germination, seedling growth, and dry matter production of black gram (Vigna mungo) and rice (Oryza sativa). The treatments consisted of 4 leaf extract concentrations (0, 5, 10, and 20 w/v). Leaf extract at 20% caused maximum inhibition (19% in black gram and 26.3% in rice) of germination compared to the control.
