Effect of linseed oil and probiotic supplementation on growth performance of weaned piglets

A total of 255 Polish Landrace weaners were used in the study. The control weaners (n=124) were fed a complete mixture containing the antibiotic flavomycin. The experimental weaners (n=131) received no antibiotic, while 4% of the dietary ration was replaced with linseed oil. The experimental diet was also supplemented with a probiotic (Probios PDFM) at 0.5 kg/t feed, which contained Enterococcus faecium bacteria (1x108/g).
