Radish juice (1 : 2 w/v) was found to be 100% effective in inhibiting the penetration of M. javanica and P. coffeae into the roots of Adzuki bean seedlings. The penetration speed of second-stage nematodes of M. javanica after being stored at 15 degrees C for 26 days was much slower compared to those stored for 3.5 days. Faster penetration by nematodes was observed for roots of Adzuki beans compared with radish roots.
