Effect of nutrient management on growth, yield and yield attributes of rabi onion (Allium cepa L.)

A study was conducted to determine the integrated effect of organic manures, biofertilizers and chemical fertilizers on onion (cv. N-53) growth and yield during the 2001-02 rabi season in Andhra Pradesh, India. Treatments consisted of: two types of organic manure (FYM and vermicompost) and two types of biofertilizer (Azotobacter and Azospirillum), either alone or in combination with chemical fertilizers.
