Effect of plant growth regulators on chlorophyll content and yield contributing parameters in blackgram (Vigna mungo L. Hepper)

Effect of plant growth regulators on chlorophyll content and yield contributing parameters in blackgram (Vigna mungo L. Hepper)

Applied Biological Research 2(1/2): 173-176

Foliar application of 3 plant growth regulators (PGR) homobrassinolide (0.1 and 0.5 micro g/ml), humicil (0.5 and 1 micro g/ml) and photosynthogen (0.05-0.25 micro g/ml) on black gram Mash 338 during a field experiment conducted in Ludhiana, Indian Punjab, India in the kharif seasons of 1997-98 enhanced chlorophyll a, b and total chlorophyll content of leaves at 3 different growth stages. All the 3 PGRs significantly enhanced the yield contributing parameters in black gram.
