Effect of planting methods and intercrops on yield, yield attributes and quality parameters of sugarcane

Field experiment conducted during 1997-98 in Karnataka, India, to find out the effect of planting methods and intercrops on yield, yield attributes and quality parameters of sugarcane with normal method, paired row and also various intercrops: sunn hemp, maize, cowpea, soyabean, potato, French bean and groundnut. Potato and French bean revealed that the planting methods did not cause appreciable difference in yield, yield attributes and quality parameters of sugarcane.
