Effect of soil conditioners and fertilizers on yield and economics of maize (Zea mays L.) in maize-wheat sequence

A field experiment was conducted sandy loam soil of Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India, to investigate the effect of soil conditioners (farmyard manure, FYM, at 5 t/ha; and gypsum at 1 q/ha) and 3 levels of N:P:K (120:60:40, 90:45:30 and 60:30:20 kg/ha) on the yield and economics of a maize-wheat sequence. FYM and gypsum increased all yield attributes, grain and stover yield, and monetary returns significantly over the control.
